Savannah Cruz Obituary

Savannah Cruz was born on March 2, 1996. She grew up in Seminole County, where she graduated from Lake Howell High School. She was a Girl Scout and completed her black belt in Karate at age 11. She was recognized as an excellent student by receiving recognition on the Dean and Presidents list at every school she attended. She Graduated from SSC and later received her Pre-Med Bachelor’s degree at UCF. Her love and passion for forensics took her career path to the Seminole County sheriff’s office, where she began as a Communication Specialist on July 2, 2019. Savannah loved music from the 20’s- 50s that mirrored her old soul. She enjoyed anime, gaming, and horror stories. She enjoyed collecting rocks and minerals. Above all, she loved Baby Yoda, Shrek, and Matilda. Even with Netflix awarding her with the top percentile of people who’ve watched Shrek in one year. She loved animals and volunteered at Pets Rescue by Judy. Her favorite place to visit was St. Augustine Florida, and she loved finding new ramen restaurants around town. She loved spending time with her family and playing games with her friends. Corey, her boyfriend, stole her heart back in 2015 and the two loved each other very much. She brought light to everyone’s life she touched, she was selfless and always put the needs of others before her own. She will always be remembered and cherished for the light she brought into this world.

Savannah is survived by her parents Kathy (Daniel) Russell and Elliott (Dolores) Cruz, siblings Elliott S. Cruz, Cortney (Steven Smith) Sands, Teresa Medina, Robert (Sascha) Medina, and Angela Rojas. She is also survived by her grandparents Samuel and Amalia Cruz, and Dominick and Teresa Oquendo; her boyfriend Corey Tackitt.
