Kathleen T. Hicks

Kathleen T. Hicks age 102, of Sanford, Florida passed away March 17, 2023. She was born September 27, 1920 in Sarasota, Florida, the daughter of Dexter and Susan Tedder. Prior to her retirement she was the Supply Technician for the Naval Training Center in Orlando. Kathleen was a very devoted caregiver to her family, a doting mother and grandmother. Her family remembers her fondly as a beautiful soul, who was as sweet and she was pretty. She was a longtime member of the Church of Latter Day Saints Sanford. Kathleen was predeceased by her companion Walt Kunich, son Gary Loyd in 2015, daughter Mary Kitchenka in 2022; two brothers Leo Tedder, Raymond Tedder, and one sister Cora Keene. She is survived by her son Sidney (Sherrie) Loyd, grandchildren Jimmy Kitchenka, Elizabeth Daniels, Sandy Kitchenka, Blaine Loyd, Daryl Loyd, sister Juanita Dorlon, three great grandchildren Suzi Daniels, Dylan Daniels, Allie Daniels, in addition to a host of extended family. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Collison-Gramkow Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Sanford, Florida.
