Jerrilla Baxley Capozzia, 84 of Geneva, Fl passed away on March 21, 2023. She was born on March 18, 1939 to J.C. and Annie Bell Baxley in Barbour County, Alabama. After graduating high school, she moved to Florida, where she married the love of her life, Joseph D. Capozzia on April 22, 1958. Nearly 65 years of marriage, she became an excellent cook making Italian meals for her husband and family. They went on to have 3 children. She became a hard-working and determine employee at Bellsouth as a truck driver, kickstarting a career with the company. After years of dedication she retired in a management position in the mail department. Jerrilla is an avid reader. She enjoys the outdoors gardening, swimming, boating, snorkeling, and canoeing. She loves teaching children to swim and taking them to church. She loves God and she is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Jerrilla was predeceased in death by J C Baxley (Father), Annie Bell Baxley (Mother), Gregory Capozzia (son); Lori Ann Capozzia (granddaughter) Kathleen Taylor (sister), Jelemia Turner (sister), Mitchel Baxley (brother), Franklin Baxley (brother), She is survived by her husband, Joseph David Capozzia; two sons, Joseph Capozzia, Jr. (Debbie) and Christopher Capozzia (Michele); two sisters, Maggie Smith and Agnes Tew; one brother, Dewey Baxley; six grandchildren, Samantha, Gregory, April, Christina, Cameron, Colin, and several great grandchildren. Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Geneva, Fl on March 28, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Crisis Pregnancy Center (Sanford or Oviedo), an organization Jerrilla felt passionate about.
