James W. Prince

James W. Prince age 66, of Sanford, Florida passed away August 26, 2021. He was born April 16, 1955 in Bangor, Maine. James was a graduate of Colonial High School in Orlando, Florida. Immediately following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served from 1974 – 1982. James went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1996, he married Ann Ballou Prince and they settled in Sanford, where they have lived for the past 22 years. James had many interests including computer technology, military history, and enjoyed collecting guns, pocketknives and watches. Although he faced several health challenges in recent years, James never lost his sense of humor or wit. He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Prince; mother, Maria Cantu Prince; stepmother, Antonia (Toni) Prince. He is survived by his devoted friend and wife of over 24 years, Ann; son, Christopher Lee Prince and a daughter; brothers John S. Prince (Leeann) and David A. Prince (Lorien); grandson, Cullen J.M. Prince and numerous extended family and friends. Inurnment with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1 Mims, Florida 32754. Following the service the family invites everyone to a reception at the Gateway at Riverwalk Club Room located at 225 W. Seminole Blvd. 3rd Floor Sanford, Florida 32771.
