Carolyn D. McClanahan

Carolyn D. McClanahan age 93, of Sanford, Florida, passed away September 14, 2022. She was born March 7, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland the daughter of the late Frank and Anne (Zuelke) DeLost. Prior to her retirement she was a broker in the real estate industry. Carolyn was a long time member at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, and a life long member of Beta Sigma Phi.  Along with her parents she was predeceased by her husband A. A. "Mac" McClanahan in 2000, and son John William McClanahan in 2019, five brothers George, Frank, Robert, John, and William DeLost, two sisters Martha Hathaway, and Edna Haines. She is survived by her daughter Patti McClanahan, and her son  A.A. "Mick" (Sunny) McClanahan, daughter in law Jean McClanahan. Carolyn is also survived by seven grandchildren Michael Hartwig, Amy (Jacob) Longtin, Charlie Hartwig, Megan McClanahan, Lisa McClanahan, Kathleen (Bill) Diehl, Marie (Joe) Dickinson, step grandchildren Ashby (Nicki) Stanford,  Christine McCuiston; adopted granddaughter Luz Morales thirteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Lutheran Church of the Redemeer. Funeral Services will follow at the church at 1:00 PM. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Sanford. Following the interment a reception will be held at Lutheran Church of the Redemeer.
