Carolyn Betts

Carolyn Betts age 91 of Sanford, Florida, passed away February 1, 2024. She was born June 12, 1932 in Alva, Florida, the daughter of the late Hilton and Jimmie (McGee) Burke. Prior to her retirement Carolyn was a seamstress for decades who brought joy to hundreds of brides, bridesmaids, and prom goers. Mrs. Betts was predeceased by her husband Ralph E. Betts, Sr. in 2001, and one son Ralph Betts, Jr., in 2018. She is survived by her children Ellen (Dennis) Shindle, Terri Betts, and Melanie Betts (Jeff)Hillis. Mrs. Betts is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins spread across the country. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Collison-Gramkow Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Sanford, Florida. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations in her name to Healthcare Center for the Homeless Inc., Orlando, Florida.
